ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle held a public hearing Monday night on the proposed Fiscal Year 2026 budget, allowing residents to comment before the Council considered potential amendments. The budget includes $16.3 million in General Fund revenues, up nearly 10% from FY 2025, and projected expenditures of $16.6 million, creating a $277,473 deficit. Total revenues across all funds are $103.8 million, with expenditures of $120 million. The Council approved the budget Monday to meet statutory filing deadlines with Ogle and Lee Counties.
