Pedestrian Struck and Killed by a Vehicle in Sandwich

SANDWICH – A pedestrian was killed Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle in the 900 block of East Church Street in Sandwich. Police responded at about 6:56 a.m. The pedestrian was taken to Valley West Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. The driver was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. East Church Street was closed for about two hours while officers processed the scene. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Sandwich Police Department.
