OREGON — Ogle County 4‑H members combined multiple holiday projects into the 4‑H Cares Project, donating food, blankets, toys, and other items to local organizations. Twelve clubs contributed more than 500 items, including 30 hams and turkeys, nearly 50 sets of coloring books and supplies, 20 tied blankets for Serenity Hospice & Home, and 25 tied blankets, 33 crocheted baby hats, 17 baby quilts, and 51 sewn stuffed animals for OSF Saint Katharine Medical Center. Nearly 500 dollars was also donated to seven local food pantries. The effort brought together individual ideas from members and clubs to support pediatric patients, families in need, and community organizations across Ogle County.
