    Two Arrested After Rockford Bar Shooting

    ROCKFORD – Rockford police arrested 23-year-old Aaron Boyle in connection with a shooting at a southeast side bar early Friday, Jan. 23. Boyle faces charges including attempted murder and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. A 48-year-old man was treated at a hospital for a gunshot wound to the neck. Police say 30-year-old Joseph Alonzo allegedly gave Boyle the firearm used in the shooting. Boyle was arrested Jan. 27 at a home in the 6300 block of Abraham Drive, where police recovered a handgun and more than 22 grams of cocaine. Alonzo was later arrested at a home in the 6300 block of Lyndhurst Lane.
