Pet of the week: Hi, I’m Volo! I’m a 2-year-old boy weighing just over 40 pounds, and I’m currently staying at Tails Humane Society in DeKalb, IL. I’ve got a soulful face, brown-tinted paws, and eyes that will melt your heart — I’m one of a kind! I am seriously treat motivated (I’ll offer a sit just in case a snack might appear), and I absolutely love toys. I already know sit, paw, down, and touch, and I love showing off my manners. But honestly? My favorite things are belly rubs, cuddling under cozy blankets, and connecting with my person. I’ve even made it onto a few volunteers’ favorites lists! I’ve lived indoors with adults and kids before and did great. I love meeting people, going on walks, exploring parks, picking out toys at pet stores, and riding in the car. I’m friendly, curious, and full of heart.
A few things my future family should know: I do best with older kids since I can guard food and toys — but with proper management, I do wonderfully. I also have some separation anxiety and don’t do well in crates, so I’d thrive loose in the home with safe boundaries. One more very good thing to know…a portion of my Adoption Fee has been Donated!
