Pet of the week: My name is Daniel, i’m almost 10 and I’m a social guy and love meeting other polite dogs. I recently had a playdate and after the initial excitement, I settled in and strolled calmly alongside my new friend. However, I’m in treatment for heartworm right now, so my activity needs to be on the mellow side for a bit — short, easy walks and no roughhousing until I get the all-clear. I’m not one for toys, but oh, the smells! I could sniff the day away.
I’ve got a shepherd’s heart, a loyal nature, and a lot of love to give to the right person. If you’ve got experience, patience, and a soft spot for a gentle, kind, handsome guy like me, we might be a perfect match. Now, full honesty — I’m a bit of a foodie and can get protective over my snacks. I’ll need an experienced dog owner who understands and can manage food guarding.
