SYCAMORE — A 66-year-old woman died after being hit by a motor vehicle Tuesday evening while attempting to cross the roadway in the 21000 block of Airport Road in unincorporated Sycamore, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Peggy A. O’Neil was struck around 5:45 PM on Tuesday and was taken to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. The crash remains under investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and the DeKalb County Coroner’s Office.
