Sycamore Man Arrested After High-Speed Fleeing From Deputies

SYCAMORE – A 33-year-old Sycamore man was arrested Friday after fleeing from a traffic stop on Illinois Route 64 east of Glidden Road. According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies attempted to stop a passenger vehicle around 11:55 p.m., but the car allegedly sped away, reportedly exceeding 100 mph in a 55 mph zone and committing multiple traffic violations. With assistance from the Sycamore Police Department, deputies traced the vehicle near its owner’s residence. Marquese Black-Freeman was arrested for driving with a revoked license. The State’s Attorney approved felony charges for aggravated fleeing and eluding. He also received citations for speeding, disobeying stop signs, failing to signal, and not wearing a seatbelt. Black-Freeman was released with a notice to appear.
