BYRON — A Rockford woman was seriously injured in a single vehicle crash Friday afternoon on North Illinois Route 2. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies said the crash happened around 2:20 p.m. when a northbound vehicle driven by the 23-year old left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a tree. She was transported by Byron EMS to Javon Bea Hospital for treatment of suspected serious injuries. Deputies were assisted by Byron Police and Byron Fire and EMS. The crash remains under investigation.
