    Rochelle Man Sentenced to Nearly 10 Years for Cocaine Possession

    OREGON — Christopher Reed of Rochelle pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver 15 to 100 grams of cocaine, a Class X felony. He was sentenced Wednesday to nine and a half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Judge Anthony W. Peska. The case stems from a January traffic stop in Rochelle. Police discovered a backpack near the 31-year-old containing about 29.4 grams of cocaine, large amounts of pills, plastic baggies, and a digital scale. Reed will also have to serve 18 months of mandatory supervised release.
