ROCHELLE — A small business bingo event was held Tuesday at the Flight Deck Bar & Grill in Rochelle to benefit Shining Star Children’s Advocacy and HOPE of Ogle County. Dozens of attendees not only played bingo but also participated in fundraising raffles.
Ashley Patrick, owner of AP Massage Therapy and organizer of the event, said, “I started this to bring people together to do good for our community, and as long as people want to come, I’ll keep doing it.”
The event raised over $2,300 each for HOPE of Ogle County and Shining Star Children’s Advocacy.
This fundraiser follows a bingo night last month supporting the Rochelle VFW and the Community Action Network holiday shopping program.
