CHICAGO — Illinois is taking steps to protect vaccine access in the state. Governor Pritzker signed an executive order that empowers the Illinois Department of Public Health to offer their own guidelines and expand vaccine access. The legislation requires insurance companies to cover vaccines recommended by the IDPH and expands youth vaccine access in pharmacies.
“ With this new law, we will be able to respond swiftly to any dangerous or anti-science actions at the federal level and ensure Illinoisans stay protected.”
