POLO — The Polo City Council has approved a request to expand a special use permit for additional mini warehouse units on a parcel owned by JC Self Storage LLC. The request from manager Jared Dambman was reviewed following a March 30 public hearing before the zoning board of appeals, where no objections were raised. The project involves construction of a new building on a 1.2 acre site adjacent to an existing self storage facility in an M 1 Manufacturing District, where such use is allowed by special permit. The council approval includes conditions that the new building follow similar plans to the existing structure, that no outside storage be permitted, and that any lighting not create a nuisance for nearby properties.
