Polo Approves $5,000 Grant for Barber Shop Improvements

POLO — The City of Polo approved a $4,997 grant through its Business Development District Commercial Grant Program for improvements at The Barber Shoppe at 113 S. Franklin Street. The funds will reimburse the business for replacement of the front entry door with sidelite and front window, along with related installation costs. The project, submitted by Timothy Cavanaugh, is expected to start April 1 and be completed by April 10. The program provides funding for exterior improvements to historic or commercial buildings to enhance street appearance, with grants paid after project completion and verification of eligible expenses.
