Ogle County Final Property Tax Multiplier Set at 1.0000

SPRINGFIELD — Illinois has issued a final property assessment equalization factor of 1.0000 for Ogle County, according to the Illinois Department of Revenue. The multiplier is used to ensure uniform property assessments among counties, especially in taxing districts that cross county lines. State law requires property to be assessed at one third of market value. Based on sales from 2022 through 2024, assessments in Ogle County are at 33.27 percent of market value. The factor applies to 2025 taxes payable in 2026 and matches the tentative factor issued in November. Last year’s multiplier was 1.0271. Officials said a change in the equalization factor does not directly increase or decrease total tax bills, which are determined by local taxing bodies.
