ROCHELLE – Warnings sounded for severe thunderstorms and tornadoes Thursday night as a wave of storms swept across northern Illinois. No injuries were reported, but there were some buildings damaged, trees downed, and power disruptions after an unconfirmed tornado touched down north of Dixon. A few area roads were briefly blocked due to storm debris and flooding after the storms dropped upwards of 2” of rain in under two hours.
