MOUNT MORRIS — Ogle County Sheriff deputies arrested a 20-year-old Mount Morris man Saturday after responding around 11:45 a.m. to a report of a possible stolen handgun in the 3000 block of West Illinois Route 64. An investigation led to the arrest of Kenneth A. Thomson for possession of a firearm without a FOID card and unlawful possession of a firearm. Thomson was taken to the Ogle County Jail, where he was booked and processed. He was later released on a notice to appear with a future court date.
