PONTE VEDRA BEACH — Rory McIlroy is hoping to defend his title at the Players Championship starting today at TPC Sawgrass. McIlroy won last year’s tournament after taking down J.J. Spaun in a three hole playoff. The 36 year old has a tee time set for this afternoon.
