BYRON — A 64-year-old Leaf River man was arrested Tuesday night after a crash and reportedly running over someone’s foot in rural Byron. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office says they were called around 10 p.m. to the 600 block of East Town Line Road, where they found a vehicle had previously crashed in the 6000 block of North Illinois Route 2. A bystander who tried to help the driver allegedly had a foot run over by the vehicle. Anthony Guglielmetti was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was cited for improper lane usage and leaving the scene of a property damage crash and taken to the Ogle County Jail where he was released with a notice to appear.
