Kirkland Woman Charged In Ogle County Theft And Forgery Case

CHANA — A 31-year-old Kirkland woman has been charged following an investigation into check fraud that began last summer, according to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said Brianna Pumilia was charged on March 30 with theft and forgery after investigators presented evidence to the Ogle County State’s Attorney’s Office. She is accused of allegedly gaining access to the victim’s financial information and taking about $11,300. The incident was first reported by a family member in June of 2025. Pumilia will have a court appearance on April 24th.
