    Illinois Farm Bureau Awards Grants for Nutrient Stewardship and Pollinator Projects

    BLOOMINGTON — The Illinois Farm Bureau is awarding 34 Environmental Stewardship Grants in 2026 to support county-led nutrient management and pollinator conservation projects across the state. In Ogle County, local Farm Bureaus will host field days and educational programs to demonstrate cover crop mixes, managed grazing, and soil health monitoring. Lee County projects include creating a community garden in Amboy and hosting a habitat and retention restoration site grand opening, along with pollinator plots and educational partnerships. DeKalb County will use grant funds to design a 2.5-acre pollinator plot with an educational pathway for schools and the public, connected to a public bike path.
