Fireworks Planned for Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival at Atwood Park

ROCHELLE – Fireworks will be held for the first time at the Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival during the 2026 celebration this summer. The display will take place at dusk on Saturday, August 15th, as the event marks 250 years of American independence. The festival will remain at Atwood Park due to ongoing multi-year construction projects in downtown Rochelle. These downtown improvements also led to the cancellation of the 2026 parade, as the traditional route is currently unavailable. The festival theme focuses on the 250th anniversary of American independence. The event will feature main stage entertainment, including Hi Infidelity on Saturday night and the Members Only 80s Band on Sunday afternoon. Additionally, a car and motorcycle show will be held on Saturday near the park at St. Paul Lutheran Church and on adjacent streets.
