Driver Killed In Two Vehicle Crash Near Dixon

DIXON — One person was killed and another injured after a two vehicle crash Monday afternoon in the 7000 block of South Ridge Road in rural Dixon. Deputies say a southbound van allegedly crossed the center line and struck a northbound box truck. The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the truckwas treated at the scene and later sought care for minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation, no charges have been filed, and the identity of the deceased is pending notification of next of kin.
