Byron all-state running back and linebacker Caden Considine will be playing college football at the University of Illinois in Champaign.
Considine had an official visit to the U of I campus this weekend in which he received a scholarship offer.
He plans to play safety for the Illini.
This past season, Considine rushed for 2,119 yards and 40 touchdowns along with 84 tackles on defense and 3 interceptions.
For his career, he had 5,104 yards rushing and 82 TD’s. He was also part of 2 Class 3A State Championship teams.
Considine also had offers from Western Illinois and North Dakota State along with a preferred walk-on at Iowa.
Caden can sign with Illinois on Wednesday.
