Body Of Missing Dixon Man Found In Rock River

DIXON — The body of a missing 22-year-old Dixon man was found last Friday in the Rock River near Sterling, according to the Dixon Police Department. Police said London Thomas had been missing since April 14th after entering the river near the Peoria Avenue Bridge following reported incidents the night before, when officers responded to calls about two men allegedly harassing a female at a Casey’s on West 4th Street and later yelling at another female before running off. A large search involving more than 70 personnel, boats, drones, and sonar equipment did not find him that day. Dixon Police Chief Ryan Bivins said the department sends its condolences to Thomas’ family and thanked those who helped in the search.
