ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Community Action Network will host a food truck festival on Saturday, April 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot south of the Flagg Township Museum off 6th Street in Rochelle. The event will feature vendors including Ralfies BBQ, Tacos Al Pastor, and Cousins Maine Lobster.
Michelle Pease said that Community Action Network’s mission is helping the youth in the area.
“CAN is a wonderful organization that helps our community kids fill in some gaps with some needs. Our biggest thing is the Christmas shopping trip where we take local children and shop for basic clothing. We also sponsor two swim nights at Spring Lake so that kids can go and just swim for free.,” she said. “We also do our coat drive, a shoe program. Some of the other things that we do is we do a backpack program. We have backpacks filled with school supplies that are distributed out to our kids,” Pease noted.
