OREGON — The Ogle County Board approved several road and bridge projects during its meeting last week, including the 2026 County Striping Project, which will use $60,000 from the motor fuel tax fund for pavement markings on county highways and was awarded to Lowville Americas Parking Remarking. The board also approved the Sumner Road Bridge Project in Leaf River Township, which will replace a bridge superstructure and is funded mostly through the Township Bridge Program, with the county contributing $26,000; the work was awarded to Barton and Company Excavating. Additional approvals included the paving of Barker Road in Byron Township, various township road work in Flagg Township, work on portions of Holcomb Road and Whitaker Road in Marion Township, and resurfacing and paving work on Spring Creek Road and Razorville Road in Rockvale Township, with contracts awarded to Barton and Company Excavating, Kern Contracting Company, and Martin Company, respectively, all approved unanimously by the board.
