OREGON – The Oregon Park District Board of Commissioners approved replacing the Lions Park Playground at their March 10 meeting. The new playground, designed by TeamReil with Miracle Recreation equipment, will have play areas for ages 2–5 and 5–12, swings, sensory-friendly spaces, and artificial turf for easier use and longer life. Community input helped guide the design. The current playground, installed in 2001, will be removed in early May, and the old equipment will be sent to a community overseas. The new playground is scheduled to be installed in June.
