Voters in Ogle, Lee, and DeKalb Counties to Decide Local and State Referendums

ROCHELLE – Voters across northern Illinois will be asked to decide several local and regional ballot questions during the March 17 primary election. Statewide there is an advisory referendum asking if Illinois should participate in a federal program using private donations to fund academic needs for K-12 students. In Lee County, residents will vote on a Dixon Park District proposal to sell nearly 12 acres of land, a non-binding question regarding the deactivation of the La Moille high school, and a requested 131.95% tax rate increase for the Sublette Fire Protection District’s ambulance services. Meanwhile, voters in the Hinckley Community Fire Protection District in DeKalb County will decide on a 0.27% tax rate increase to fund fire and emergency operations.
