Remains Found In Geneseo 60 Years Ago ID’ed As Missing California Man

GENESEO —  Remains found in Geneseo 60 years ago are being identified as a missing California man.  Ronald Joseph Cole was reported missing in Fillmore, California in the 80s.  However, investigators learned that he had been missing since 1965.  Human remains were located near a creek southeast of Geneseo in October 1966.  The Henry County Sheriff’s Office began reviewing the cold case in 2024.  Following DNA testing, officials confirmed the remains belonged to Cole.
