SPRINGFIELD – Governor Pritzker is naming a new leader of the Illinois National Guard. Pritzker chose Illinois Air National Guard Director of Staff Colonel Steven Rice as the next Assistant Adjutant General-Air of the state’s National Guard. The Morrison native will be promoted to Brigadier General and will serve as one of two Governor-appointed deputies to Major General Rodney Boyd. Rice will replace Major General Dan McDonough, who will retire after nearly 38 years of military service.
