Franklin Grove, Dixon, Starved Rock Volunteers Honored by IDNR

FRANKLIN GROVE — The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has recognized volunteers at Franklin Creek State Natural Area in Franklin Grove, the Rock River Trail and Horseman Association in Dixon, and supporters at Starved Rock State Park as 2025 outstanding volunteers of the year. The Franklin Creek Conservation Association was honored for decades of restoration projects, while the Dixon group was noted for building and maintaining equestrian facilities and trails. At Starved Rock, volunteers were recognized for trail work, visitor support, and community outreach.
