Kirkland Fourth of July Festival Continues Tonight at Franklin Township Park

KIRKLAND – The Kirkland Fourth of July Festival continues tonight at Franklin Township Park as the community celebrates the 78th annual event with live music, carnival rides, vendors, games, a parade and a fireworks display set to cap the night.

Kirkland Lions Club member Brian Reynolds said, “This is one of those events where the whole community comes together. We have live music, we have food, we have rides for the kids, and we have a full schedule from morning into the night each day,” and he added, “The fireworks on the Fourth are always the highlight, and we are proud to bring people in from all over northern Illinois to enjoy it safely and make a full day of it at the park,”

Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early to find parking, enjoy the entertainment, and secure viewing spots for the fireworks show.
